Make easy work of removing and/or installing water pumps with Performance Tool water pump removal sockets. Since some GM engines have a water pump impeller fixed in the water pump housing by a camlock system, removal of the water pump is facilitated by turning the pump impeller clockwise 23 degrees to release the cam locking system. Installation of the water pump impeller is performed in the opposite manner. Performance Tool water pump removal sockets are made of chrome molybdenum alloy steel with a black oxide finish for lasting service.
